1 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE   June 26, 2008

We have had this phone two weeks on a two year contract. It was dropped on a bedroom floor and part of the screen has gone black. I called AT&T, the carrier, and was told I could not get a replacement since it was dropped and I cannot get out of the 2-year contract, again because the phone was dropped. I have dropped other phones on cement and they still work fine! My only options from AT&T are to terminate the contract at $175 or send it to Sony for repairs at at least $185 or buy a $39.99 Nokia replacement phone with no bells and whistles. Unless you are going to treat this phone as if it were an uncooked egg, BEWARE!

1 out of 5 stars Screen Internally cracked, AT&T and Sony would not replace   June 17, 2008

I purchased this phone and 42 days after owning it the screen internally cracked. Both AT&T and Sony would not replace it because they said I physically damaged it. The phone was sitting on my desk and a call came in and the screen just randomly cracked. Now I have to wait for my contract to end so I can get a new phone.

2 out of 5 stars terrible phone   June 15, 2008

have owned this phone for 6 months-it loses service frequently. you have to restart the phone to get service back. phone dies while you're talking on it. while pressing buttons, the phone will randomly shut off. the case is made of a junky plastic and feels very flimsy. about the only really nice features in my opinion are the FM radio feature and mp3s. however, even these have their limitations because you are forced to use the strange headphone that comes with the phone. if you want mp3s you need to get a separate memory card. I would not recommend this phone to anyone.

4 out of 5 stars It's OK.   May 28, 2008

It's a lot of phone for a penny. Lots of stuff that I really didn't need. And though it's a lot easier to answer than a flip phone (especially with one hand), it's still too thick. The pedometer keeps counting even when I'm driving. And I'm trying to figure out why the camera won't zoom. Worst part, when it's in my back pocket my bum seems to answer the phone. Let me tell you- hearing voices creeping up behind you is very, very scary. Then you feel dumb when it's someone trying to get your attention on your own phone. The phone is still a good purchase. I'm still waiting for that Giorgio Armani Samsung. Oh, AT&T charges $19 to CONTINUE doing business with them. It's just as stupid as paying for sending AND receiving text messages. In two years I'll opt for no contract and buy a mobile.

2 out of 5 stars it's a fancy phone, but failed to be a phone   May 25, 2008

i chose this phone 'cause it's supposedly multi-functional and the battery should last forever....i cannot be more wrong. the reception is bad - the other person's voice breaks up all the time and i have about 10 times more dropped and blocked calls.... and i never can understand what the person at the other side is talking about, the voice quality is just BAD!! on top of all that, i had to call customer service N times to figure out why my phone's bottom lights would not turned off when it's standby, which eats up my battery life like crazy; what annoys me the most, is that the phone charm falls off all the time!!! how could that happen when the hook is inside the battery cover????

but it's fancy, you can use it to listen to radio or MP3; it has cable and free software, so you can manage your files on the phone through your computer; the camera is 2mp, can take fairly good quality pics~~

however, since i have an ipod, a digital camera and a laptop already, what i really need is a PHONE....and it fails to be a phone. I miss my nokia 6102, which did nothing fancy, but is fantastic as a phone.
