Was cheap, but worked fine. May 9, 2006 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I never bother to review anything, but there is a lot of slander on this device. It was cheap, but it works fine. It allowed me to put things on and take things off the phone. If that is all you want to do, and you don't want to pay much. This device is fine.
I'm using a first generation Razr.
good February 24, 2006 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
this dongle does work good, excelent distance, and easy to connect and use. The only problem i have is it is a bit tricky to connect to a program like motorola phone tools
Good product
Piece of junk! Avoid!! February 22, 2006 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
This thing has the worst drivers ever. I could not get it to work, the included software is horrible garbage. I am taking it to the garage and putting it out of its misery with a sledgehammer, as it will never touch any of my PCs ever again.
avoid this junk at all cost!!! February 9, 2006 13 out of 15 found this review helpful
I purchase it in Hong Kong for $60HKD ($8) the blue soleil driver is simply.....bad it don't remember the device connected/paired on the main window A2DP don't work on HP laptop have problem with async (pocket pc can't find async host) recently, I found a lot of fake billionton bt adaptors using this PCB and blue soleil driver it also claims 100m range, but it has class 2 TX, I don't know how it can make 100m range with merely 1-5mW TX (class 1 requires 100mW TX) get MSI starkey (use Broadcom) or Level1 0025 (use Toshiba) instead, don't waste the money
Steer clear! January 22, 2006 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
I purchased this product to interact with my Motorola RAZR V3 cell phone, and could not get the two devices to acknowledge each other. I tried EVERYTHING from placing the security settings at their lowest setting, disabling Windows firewall, putting my phone within 1 foot from the USB dongle, etc. Here's the worst part - NO PRODUCT SUPPORT! The company website is not even in service, and I could not find a support telephone number anywhere in the Help archive or literature provided. I use Windows XP, so the setup was a piece of cake, and the operating system is more than capable to handle the new piece of hardware. Do yourself a favor: Stick with the name brand version of this product for only $5 more.
