Samsung i760 docking station September 27, 2008 This docking station is great for travel, much more compact than the OEM version. However, the main power connection on this unit is the weak link. Mine required some minor repair after only 2-wks of use. Works fine now.
I760 Cradle August 13, 2008 Item arrived in a timley fasion. Functions as described, recharges both size batteries. One in the cradle(on phone) and one in the slot. I use it daily. Very satisfied
Samsung Cradle July 28, 2008 For the money, well worth it. Far cheaper than getting a name brand. I would have rated 5 stars, but the phone docking part is a little clunkly and at times can be hard to dock. With samsung's design of the protective flap on the bottom, and if you don't position it just right, sometimes get into the way when docking. Other than that recommended.
I guess you get what you pay for. June 27, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I should have suspected by the $16 price, and I'd be furious if I paid $39.99 for this piece of junk.
The power chord is two feet long which is idiotic for anyone who has a desk of any normal height. I don't know about you, but I don't put my power strips on my desk which means the only way this thing would work is if you happened to have a shallow desk and an outlet immediately next to it.
I don't even know if the USB portion of this device works because Windows XP claims the device is malfunctioning. This doesn't surprise me.
Nevermind that, tho. Let's get right to the meat of this piece of garbage.
The Samsung i760 has a dumb little flap covering the USB/power port. The makers of this product decided to put a depressed area to accomodate -- except getting it into the cradle is a challenge in and of itself. The interface for the USB/power port on this device isn't fit properly so the phone just sort of moves around on it's own which seems to make and break the connection randomly. There is even a way to get it to sit where it continually makes and breaks the power causing the phone to bong endlessly at you. If you manage to get it seated and happy be sure to not move, breathe, or even look at it.
Maybe I just got a defective one. I think the product is junk. If you decide to purchase it I highly advise you have it shipped directly to the nearest pool and/or trash can just to save yourself the frustration of dealing with it.
