Amazon.com Product Description
Designed specifically for convenience and comfort, the FreeSpeak BT250v lets you talk hands-free and wirelessly on your cell phone via Bluetooth technology. The lightweight, contoured device fits securely on your head, works with either ear, looks great, and is simple to set up. Enhancements over the popular BT250 include a convenient vibrating alert and a handsome new black color.

Weighing less and an ounce, the FreeSpeak BT250v is constructed from a soft, sound-absorbing elastomer material that reduces distortions, resulting in crisp sound quality. The earpiece also features the new Jabra MiniGel, a soft, ergonomic gel tip that channels sound directly into your ear for better reception, improving your ability to hear conversations clearly, even in noisy environments.

The device works up to 30 feet away from your mobile phone, so you can talk and walk freely even if your phone is inside your briefcase, pocket, or across the room from you. With the BT250v, voice dialing, call answer/end, redial and call transfer are all just a touch of a button away. The headset also provides easy, intuitive volume controls, and features LED and audible status indicators. You'll get an average of up to 7 hours talk time and 200 hours standby on the BT250v's rechargeable batteries.

1 out of 5 stars No support after warranty!   December 18, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

I purchased the Jabra BT250v about a year and a half ago. I liked the subtle looks and decided to buy it. However, it didn't work well with the radio/phone I was using so I put it away. After recently getting a new phone (and hearing that our state law is going to require "hands free" soon while driving), I decided to pair it with my new iphone.

The unit comes with a plastic (gell) ear piece that swivels to fit properly into your ear. When I swiveled the ear piece, the small plastic ring it attaches to cracked and fell apart in my hand. As the unit is otherwise like new, I called the manufacturer hoping for help. I expected them to replace the part or send a new unit considering it was basically unused. Instead, they insisted that once it is out of warranty they offer no service or repairs. I spoke with two managers who both insisted I should just throw it away. I even asked if I could send it in for repairs and pay the repair cost myself. I was again told "No, if the unit is out of warranty, there is no repair". I could better understand if the whole thing broke in half, but it appears to be a simple snap in ring. It really looks like a replaceable part. It was never dropped or abused. I paid over $100 for the unit and would have expected better support. Buyer be ware!

2 out of 5 stars Decent   December 8, 2008
ive had it about a year now, the performance & sound quality are fine, but its big & ugly & the removeable rubber earpieces come off very easily. I've lost 2 of the earpieces and am lucky ive still got the 3rd. i thought the behind-the-ear feature would help the headset not fall off so i wouldnt lose it as easily, but its pretty bulky and inconvenient to position behind the ear so i just stick the rubber piece in my ear & then have this huge thing on the side of my face. i am going to get a much smaller bluetooth soon, without earpieces that come off so easily.

4 out of 5 stars Reception Good, But Can Be Uncomfortable   June 2, 2008
The reception is good, but the product tends to get uncomfortable after a couple of hours. I'm very active and need a headset that can be worn all day.

4 out of 5 stars Jabra BT250v: Not Bad At All   May 25, 2008
Reliable, which is primary for me. Some very slight static once in awhile, but certainly nothing that would prevent me from repeating my purchase. Fits nicely in/on my ear and very comfortable. For the cost of this headset, I'm very pleased with the value I've received.

3 out of 5 stars Good, but not for all ears?   May 5, 2008
There's a lot to like about this headset. Big plus: sound quality is great, and it's loud enough (I'm hard of hearing, so that's a big deal.)

The chief drawback for me is that the earpiece part won't stay in my ear when worn "properly," wrapped around the ear. If I don't try to wrap it around, I can actually get it to stick in for a while, but obviously that doesn't last. So for me, it's not "hands-free" at all, as my right hand has to hold it in place. Not sure whether my ears are too big, too small, or just oddly shaped, but some adjustability would be welcome.
