The Doc is correct! January 8, 2009 I won't try to top the Doc. from Washington's review. Same experience here. This is the fifth bluetooth device I've purchased and blows all the others away. My purchase of the H710 was on the strength of a friend's use of an H700. He was the only caller with a bluetooth ear device from whom I could hear every word clearly. This H710 is absolutely the best on everything from utility to comfort. Don't even consider any other. A rare home run from Motorola. Quite a contrast from my wife's crap Motor-oh-no V3m Razr phone. (In comparison to my Samsung U900, another winner)
Motorola H710 headset working fine January 7, 2009 I purchased this headset as a gift to replace my daughter-in-law's Motorola H500, when its ear piece broke off.
So far, she's very happy with the new unit. It's smaller than the H500, paired up easily with her LG VX8300, and she has no problems with its operation, such as voice fidelity, volume, etc.
The feature she likes best is the battery duration indicator. Press 2 buttons simultaneously, and colored LEDs indicate remaining battery life in 3 levels (red, yellow, green). With the H500, you never knew how much longer you had.
Note that the H710 claims a 6.5 hour talk time vs. the H500's 8.0 hours, but this has not proven to be a problem. And, ironically, the H710 has the longer standby time, 200 hours vs. the H500's 130 hours. Go figure.
All in all, the H710 has worked out very well for us.
Motorola H-710 "Outstanding Headset" January 6, 2009 This headset is nearly instantaneous in pairing with your phone. I have it paired with a Blackberry Pearl and had no problems whatsoever. After charging and turning it on for the first time, the headset automatically enters pairing mode. From there, it's a simple process to select the device on your bluetooth phone to complete the pairing process. The audio quality is crystal clear on both ends and the headset maintains its connection even beyond its stated 33 foot range. I've had my handset downstairs on the first floor of my home and I am talking on the headset upstairs on the third floor with perfect clarity and no static. Noise reduction is good in that callers report very little to no noise when I am talking to them outside in a moderate wind. The headset is very light and comfortable on the ear and after about ten minutes of wearing it you'll forget you have it on. The "flip open/close" boom mic is a real plus for this headset - - open and the headset is on immediately - - close it and it's off thus saving your battery life tremendously. I highly recommend this headset to anyone looking for a quality device that will maintain the connection with their phone and produce outstanding audio clarity.
Excellent! January 6, 2009 The bluetooth connects quite easily to my smart phone (MOTO 9Q) and the 'clarity' of the reception is very good; even in 'remote' locations for the most part.
Motorola Bluetooth H710 Headset [Retail Packaged] January 6, 2009 I am pleased with the clarity of my new Motorola Bluetooth. My friends say they can hear me with little background distortion.
