The T109 operates on GSM 850/1900 networks and can handle high-speed data connectivity via T-Mobile's EDGE network (which stands for "Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution"). This high-speed, mobile data and Internet access technology is fast enough to support a wide range of advanced data services (with average data speeds between 75-135Kbps), including video and music clips, full picture and video messaging, high-speed color Internet access, and email on the go. Weighing 3.1 ounces, the compact Samsung T109 has dual LCDs--an internal 65K-color screen (128 x 160 pixels) and an external monochrome screen that displays current time, incoming calls, signal strength, and battery life. Under the hood of the clamshell, you'll also find a standard alpha-numeric keypad, five-way navigator, send/end keys, and two soft keys for navigating menus. The internal phonebook provides space for hundreds of contacts, and it supports caller groups as well as ringer and picture ID. Note that this phone does not include a memory expansion slot or a camera.
