A great idea January 6, 2009 The iGo Power product line is a great idea. They have so many tips that it must be hard to find a device that they do not support! This is a great way (that I can see) to reduce your impact on the environment, as you no longer need to dump your old car charger when you get a new phone. You can reduce clutter in your car since you only have 1 adapter for numerous devices.
It would be good if iGo had a right angle or swivel style connector for flexibility.
Works well January 6, 2009 This is a high quality car charger. I bought several less expensive car chargers for my wife's phone - they all broke within a few weeks. This one has lasted very well. It's quite durable.
Great Product January 2, 2009 I bought my iGo car charger about 2 years ago from a retail store. I love it. I need only one little tip for each of my devices. Every time I get a new cell phone I only have to pay about $10 per tip. I'm so confident in the product that I am about to buy one from Amazon for my mother's birthday.
It's okay -- just don't pay full price December 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Interchangable tips -- seems like a great concept to prevent the never-ending accumulation of proprietary chargers, so I bought into it at full price at a local retailer. After about a year the charger unit simply quit working. But not only that, in between, I switched phones once, so I bought a 2nd tip ($9.00 I think), and of course had no use for the original tip. Then the 2nd tip snapped in half after owning it about 3 months, and I replaced it ($9.00 again IIRC). Shortly after that is when the charger unit itself quit working. So I now have two good (but now useless) iGo tips, one broken iGo tip, and a broken iGo Auto charger.
Now you only need one charger and cord December 1, 2008 I love the iGo line of products. I keep one at home and another in the car. With multiple portable devices, all I do is change the small inexpensive tip ($10) at the end and plug in my device. When I travel, I only need the one unit. When I get a new device, I buy a new tip for it. I also purchased the unit that has a car plug or a 110 vac plug at the power end and just take the appropriate set of tips with me. I can charge my devices where ever I am. They even make high powered units for your computer if you need to replace your power supply. Check out iGo.com then buy your product on Amazon.
