Great Bluetooth Device September 9, 2008 Awsome device! I had purchased this online and had it installed at Best Buy. They did a great job installing it. The device is fantastic! THe voice on the system is clear and easily heard. THe speaker is nice and loud even with the windows open. The only thing that I had issues with is if your car radio does not have the mute wire built in you must use the speaker. Also, you must be sure to say the numbers clearly or the system will get confused an say the wrong numbers. Otherwise, this device is wonderful and well worth the money. Great job Moto!!
Much better than earpeices July 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This unit works great. Is much better than having to worry about the batteries in an earpeice. I did not use the speaker that it comes with. I purchased a wiring harness that allowed me to plug in directly into my stereo. The unit mutes the stereo and plays the audio over the truck speakers. I will be buying one for my girlfriend it works so well.
Hands Free, Headset Free Bluetooth Car Kit From Motorola July 19, 2008 I have installed the car kit or rather had it professionally installed since it is integrated into my cars electrical and audio systems. The device faceplate can be located conveniently to allow use of the controls with minimal distraction from the traffic. To date I am very pleased with the unit. After the initial mating the devise will automatically activate when ever I get into the car with my cell phone on, in addition it can configured to accommodate up to four other cell phones so every member of the family can be hands free legal. It will also allow voice commands and will dial the number from your phones address book without having to reconfigure your phone list. This unit is a bit pricy however if you spend a lot of time in the car talking on your cell phone it is well worth the money.
motorola car hf1000 bluetooth car kit May 27, 2008 I did the install on my wife's 2007 jag s type myself. no problem if you are handy and familiar with radio, remote radar detectors etc etc installs. This is paired with a motorola razr phone, I am extremely pleased with sound on both talking and hearing in the car, as well as being at the recieving call on a land line. The sound quality puts to shame the $2,500 mercedes benz factory optional voice command system I have in my 2005 E500.
Very Satisfied March 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I searched for over a month trying to get the best quality hands free car kit. In California after July 1, 2008 it will be a big fine if you are driving and holding a phone to your ear. I tried bluetooth ear buds as well as wired ear and headsets. They either didn't stay paired or my ear felt like it had been ran over by a truck weeks after I wore a ear bud. My application is in a company truck that gets heavy use. I finally decided on the IHF1000. I just went ahead and installed the supplied speaker for the time being and may order the Y harness later. Apparently a switcher is needed also from what I have read. Haven't been able to find these anywhere except [...]. Any way I am real happy so far with the sound quality. The small supplied speaker has pretty decent sound. Surprised that this product has been on the market this long after reading some of the product reviews and seeing the date. I got a new motorola i580 Nextell a month prior to getting the IHF1000 which paired up nice and easy. Never fails to recognize my phone as soon as the ignition is turned on. I noticed when setting up contacts, it does not help to yell at this thing as it just keeps repeating the wrong numbers. It works good if you just talk normal. One of the other reviewers described exactly the voice recognition when adding a contact. Also noticed that if you are adding contacts, when you first add a contact it doesn't give you a lot of time to make a choice. After you have a contact added to the list, it will wait indefinately until you begin talking again to add more contacts. I would have liked to be able to store many more contacts, my phone is for business and I make many calls a day sometimes on the phone 90% of the time. The mute and answering another call putting call #1 on hold works good. If I need to call a client that is not in the contact list, I can still call using my cell phone buttons. The call goes through and it resumes using the IHF1000 speaker and microphone. It seems to work with Nextell push to talk function OK. It's too bad the Y harness isn't included for the car speakers and power leads, but then every manufacturer uses a different connector. Overall very happy with my IHF1000 so far. I can see this product being out of stock in the near future as the demand is going to be very high, which I did not want to wait to the last minute.
