1 out of 5 stars earpiece doesn't fit   January 8, 2009
My husband got me this for Christmas, and after charging it (the package said it came pre-charged - not true) and pairing it up easily with my i-phone, I put it in to try it out. It would not stay in my ear! The ear button is too large to fit in my ear canal and the hook is too large to even hang on my ear - apparently I have smallish ears. My husband has an older Samsung model that fits his ear just fine, but came with multiple earpieces nonetheless. I went to Best Buy (where it came from) to see if I could purchase smaller size earpieces or hooks - they sent me to Samsung website for "accessory" pieces. Samsung says "There are no accessories for this device." I'm sick of this thing already, and the lack of service it comes with. I'm taking it back. After reading the other reviews about the broken ear hooks and poor sound quality, I don't even want to wait to find out about that. I think I'll go to a store that actually knows something.

1 out of 5 stars Terrible outgoing audio quality   October 28, 2008
I purchased the silver Samsung WEP350 headset, but will be returning it due to terrible outgoing audio quality.

Those called said the audio contained background noise (similar to wind noise) even though the calls were made in a quite room with the phone and WEP350 within 2 feet of each other and on the same side of my body. This was also observed in messages left to myself. When I switched to the handset during these calls the audio was immediately crisp.

Incoming audio quality was good.

2 out of 5 stars good headset, terrible ear hook   August 26, 2008
The headset works fine, the sound is clear, and you can place it in the recharge cradle while it's still on...but the ear hook breaks UNBELIEVABLY easy. So far, I have yet to find a seller that has replacement ear hooks in stock for the WEP350; no surprise to me, considering they must fly off the shelves shortly after the units are purchased.

3 out of 5 stars some noise reduction ..... but   August 23, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

I lost my Samsung 410 headset a couple of weeks ago (it's small and when it goes in a pocket, it tends to redial the last number, a real annoyance), and I was faced with getting another.

I got this one at Best Buy for $60 (lesson: shop Amazon) to try out. I reasoned that Samsung had probably made some engineering progress since I paid $80 for the 410.

The 350 did have some noise reduction (less complaints about ambient noise when driving), but some was still there.

What caused me to return the 350 was:

1: Miserable bluetooth reception. I had to have the phone on the same side of my body as the earphone, and many times it got scratchy until I pulled the phone out of my pocket and got it within 2 feet of my earpiece. Not all the time, but way too often. Unacceptable. (I use a Razr phone)

2: It fell out of my ear a lot. The 410 came with a variety of rubber earpieces so one would fit well and not come off, but the 350 comes with one size only. I know it comes with a wire earhook, but I don't like to use one. This limits my headset choices a lot, mostly to Samsung.

I'm currently back with the 410, whose problems are, to me at least, more acceptable.
