Amazon.com Product Description Improving on the original Z9, the enhanced BlueAnt Z9i Bluetooth headset incorporates a number of new features and packaged accessories with a focus on comfort and wearability. BlueAnt has refined its Voice Isolation Technology software to improve the Z9i's noise suppression, echo cancellation and wind noise reduction capabilities.
Thanks to BlueAnt's Voice Isolation Technology, the Z9i provides outstanding noise suppression, echo cancellation and wind noise reduction. |
It comes with both large and small interchangeable ear gels, as well as two types of ear hook. | The Z9i includes both large and small interchangeable ear gels, as well as two types of ear hook: the original translucent style and a more ergonomic, rubberized metal ear hook. It also offers an innovative tie clip lets you attach the V1 headset to your shirt or cuff when not in use. The Z9i incorporates dual microphones allowing for BlueAnt's patented Voice Isolation Technology, a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) software solution that uses advanced techniques to separate the user's voice signal from all other sounds, enhancing and isolating all frequencies that affect voices coming into and out of the headset. This results in outstanding environmental noise reduction, echo cancellation and wind noise protection. You can choose between dual Voice Isolation modes: Standard for use in normal environments to remove mild background noise, and Max, which provides superior voice clarity for use in extremely noisy environments. The BlueAnt Z9i works with Bluetooth version 2.0 and its multi-point technology allows you to connect simultaneously to two phones and answer the one that rings. easy bluetooth January 8, 2009 This headset is neat because it has two sizes of earbuds and two earloops. small in size, easy to program. Box is extremely difficult to open. Con:you hang up on your call if you brush the headset and it is not easy to switch calls without the phone in hand. Otherwise, I recommend. Nice clear sound.Wish it came with an auto charger for this price.
Like it so far... January 7, 2009 The noise reduction isn't as great as I thought it would be, but it still does a pretty good job. It fits really well around the ear and is easy to use.
Great Headset January 7, 2009 I've had the Z9i for over a month now & I love it! Any one who gives this less then a perfect review must have got a bad apple. I have not had the first complaint from anyone I've been talking to. The noise reduction work great if your in a place & need to use it! It paired up easy with my Sony 580i. It wears so well I sometimes have to feel to see if I have it on my ear. GREAT HEADSET!!!
Excellent Bluetooth January 6, 2009 If you live in NYC or any large city and are on the street a lot and actually want to hear who you are talking to (without paying a ton of money), then this is the bluetooth for you. I'm consistently losing my bluetooth head set, and as this one is so affordable, I keep purchasing it! If you're on the street, you can hear who you are talking to and the person can also hear you (without yelling into your phone). Also, there aren't any delays or echos that you can get from other bluetooths (either when you speak or when you listen to someone). The only disadvantage is that if you are using the headset at home and are laying down or covering the back part of the head set, the microphone sometimes does not work. Also, sometimes you need to change the voice isolation setting - it can sometimes be garbled. Once you change the isolation setting then it works just fine (there are two settings - one works better in a home, the other is better when there is a lot of noise). Otherwise, excellent bluetooth for the price!
A bit of static January 6, 2009 Like 3 other headsets I've tried, I hear static when paired with my LG CU515 if the phone is more than 1 FOOT away (this may be a CU515 issue). Callers say I sound very understandable (some can't tell I'm on the headset). The fit is alright, if a bit loose.
I'm keeping it, but am still on a grail-quest for a GREAT headset.
