Product Description Widely recognized as the best Bluetooth headset on the market, the new Jawbone is 50 percent smaller than the original, award-winning Jawbone, offer over 4 hours of talk time, and comes with three earbuds and four earloops for a comfortable and personalized fit.Military-Grade NoiseAssassin TechnologyDeveloped over years of research for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Jawbone's NoiseAssassin eliminates real world noise better than competing headset because it's the only hands free device that accurately separates human speech from ambient noise. Unmatched in its ability to remove noise from loud environments like busy streets, cars, crowded cafes, and airports, NoiseAssassin is comprised of two features unique to Jawbone: a patented Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) and proprietary Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms. Jawbone is the only Bluetooth headset with a VAS that feels the speech vibrations from your jaw. This enables Jawbone to capture the distinct frequencies of your voice. Conventional "noise suppression" headsets do not have a Voice Activity Sensor and can only estimate when speech is occurring. This causes performance issues like voice distortion, especially in the presence background noise.Made with premium materials like medical-grade plastic and fine leather, the new Jawbone with NoiseAssassin combines science and beauty in the most unassuming, yet richly detailed product. The new Jawbone accomplishes a clean and sophisticated look thanks to invisible buttons. Touch-surface technology allows the user to operate switches by lightly pressing the outer shield. Curved and rectilinear to follow the face, the outer shield is lightly textured and inspired by three-dimensional noise abatement surfaces. The infer surface, the one touching your face and creating contact with the Voice Activity Sensor, is gently curved to be ergonomic and comfortable on your skin.
Amazon.com Product Description Setting new standards for mobile voice clarity and personal style, the new Jawbone Bluetooth headset by Aliph represents a complete departure from the gadgetry of the mobile headset industry. Originally developed for military use in extreme environments, Jawbone features NoiseAssassin--a proprietary technology that eliminates background noise from mobile phone conversations. Jawbone is the only Bluetooth headset with a Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) that actually feels your speech, which helps Jawbone distinguish your voice from background noise.

Works great January 7, 2009 This is my first bluetooth device and I use it way more than I thought it would. I can hear people on my cell phone better than being on the phone directly and the people I call say I sound clearer as well. It needs charging more often than the directions suggest and there is a little static on occasion.
A big peice of junk!! January 6, 2009 I had heard alot about this product, i put off getting one until now. i was lead to believe that this was the "god" of all earpeices, the best of the best. well, this peice of junk is anything but. first off, others say when wearing it, they dont notice it? I dont see how that can be, because to me it feels like a constant knife sticking in my ear. its very uncomfortable and It dosnt fit snug and easily falls off. when you turn your head either way, boom--off it comes. even walking at a casual pace, if you can ignore the pain of the knife in your ear feeling, it has and will drop off your ear. you should not have to go buy a third party ear bud to replace the one that comes with it to make it fit correctly, it should fit right the first time right out of the box. and the sound--thats even worse. at max volume, it still sounds like the person your talkin to is far from the phone--kind of like shouting at a distance, very hard to hear and because you have to turn the volume all the way up, that further distorts the sound and makes the calls sound faint. and people tell me when i ask how I sound, when they can hear me that is, that i sound muffled, or have something covering my mouth and sometimes they cant hear and understand me at all. ive tried this peice on 4 different phones, with all the same results. its very high in static, theres a constant "plastic bag" crumpling sound going on thats constant. my 40.00 plantronics voyager 550 is way better than this thing. ive used that for years, very comfy and sounds excellent. i cant believe this jawbone is such a joke. BUYER BEWARE!!
The Right EarBud For Your JawBone 2 Headset January 3, 2009 With a compatible earbud/eargel, place this great-sounding Bluetooth Headset straight in your ear--the Aliph Jawbone 2 requires no fuss or adjustments. The Jawbone 2 was very uncomfortable and keeps falling out out of my ear until I discovered a compatible soft ear gel.
The Plantronics Discovery 925 eartip soft ear gel eliminates the need to wear the earhook, keeps the Jawbone 2 headset from falling out and creates excellent face contact with the Voice Activity Sensor. With one hand, I just popped it in and settled it into place. It stays put, despite not using the earhook.
The secret? The tip sports an extra loop-shaped piece of plastic that sits outside the ear canal. This piece has a stabilizing effect on the Jawbone 2 Headset, and helps prevent it from slipping out. I was surprised at how snug and stable the Jawbone 2 headset felt; even when I threw my head back in laughter, the headset budged not an inch. Likewise, it felt solid in its position when I walked around.
The Plantronics Discovery 925 eartip soft gel is A MUST HAVE for the Jawbone 2 Headset. It comes in three sizes: small, medium, and large tips.
One size does not fit all. I strongly recommend getting one of each size to determine your best fit.
Get these eartips and start enjoying your Jawbone 2 Headset.
Excellent Bluetooth December 7, 2008 This bluetooth is comfortable to wear and gives over 3 hours of continuous talk time on a full charge. It also recharges in approximately 10-15 minutes. The gold jawbone looks almost like a piece of jewelry. I think the noise reduction technology is over rated. The new Sound ID300 has a longer talk time and is as comfortable but does not charge as quickly.
Satisfied December 6, 2008 Had the original Jawbone which was great. This one is smaller and works just as good. The ear clip is OK - could be better. Battery lasts as good as the older one also. I would recommend this - even though it is one of the highest priced units on the market. You get what you pay for!!!
