WindGuard and the scala-500 At a hair more than half an ounce, the sleek and stylish scala-500 is one of the smallest and lightest devices available, but it still offers up to nine hours of talk time. An integrated speaker booster provides substantially higher volume capacity than is common in other headsets. Plus, echo-canceling technology alleviates those annoying voice feedback loops that are common with lesser headsets. An exchangeable ear-loop and eye/sunglasses attachment lets you place the headset where it's most convenient, while handy controls on the device allow you to voice dial, as well as to answer, mute, reject, and transfer calls. A charging cradle ships with the scala-500, offering fast recharging of the headset's internal battery. I purchased this awhile back and it worked all of two months. I was not pleased with the product because it didn't stand to the hype it promoted.

This is by far the best headset that I've ever owned. The talk time is outstanding and the fit is exceptional. I've had several other bluetooth earpieces but none are comparable to the Scala 500. I highly reccommend this product, you won't be dissapointed.

I have tried many different BTHs and so far this is by far the most impressive, specially considering the money.
The sound quality I would rate as better than good but not excellent. Voices on the end of the unit come in a bit high, but not disturbing. So far no complaints from the party on the opposite side. Ease of use is a easy. Fashion wise it may not be most alluring but I still feel comfortable wearing it.
I have owned the Voyager 510 and have had it replaced countless times by the mfr, which btw good customer service on their part. Their BTH however is horrible. Jawbone went back two days after trying it out, by far the worst and most expensive.
Give this one a shot do not let the low price fool you. You will be surprised.

I think this product is well worth every cent I've payed for it. The design is nice, the features are fine, and the price is just right.
wash and spin cycle June 19, 2008
This is my second Cardo Systems Scala 500. I inadvertently ran over my first one when it fell out of my pocket and onto the driveway. My current one just went through the wash and spin cycle when I left it in my nursing scrubs. And it still works flawlessly! How's that for good quality? I love this item. Highly recommended. I use it with my iPhone.
