Works great! August 17, 2008 This is the first time I have owned a Nokia phone, so when I had to order a charger for my car, I did not hesitate when I found this item in Amazon. It is a name brand product, and has worked great since I received it. Definitely a must for anyone that uses their cell phone a lot and needs to keep the battery charged at all times.
usefull July 27, 2008 The batery of my 6120c lasts less If I surf in the Internet, so I have it in the car every time i need it
Too tight for comfort July 21, 2008 Although the charger has a Nokia label, I expcected better quality and wonder if it is a knockoff. The charger was very tight fit into my car's charger port; so tight that I was concerned about damaging the charger port. I attempted to squeeze the two spring blades a little closer so the fit were not so tight, but one of the blades cracked. Now, however, the charger fits much easier.
My next disappointment is the short cord, which barely reaches from the charging port to a tray on the console.
Oh, and, yes, it does a great job of charging my phone.
Got No Charge July 12, 2008 The connection for this charger was too small for the Nokia N75 cellphone, which uses the new smaller Nokia round connection hole. It's a problem I've also had with a Nokia travel charger bought from an authorized retail seller. Maybe Nokia is having some quality control issues. In any event, the seller of this mobile charger provided me with a reasonably prompt refund.
Pretty Good Basic Gear July 6, 2008 The Nokia N82 is everything one would dream of in a cell phone. It however has one little weakness- poor battery life. Being a former Sony-Ericsson user, one thing I like about Sony phone is its lenghty battery life. I can go 4 days without charging the phone. The N82? About 2 days of normal usage- camera, music, several calls, GPS, etc. Without charging via USB connection, it's good to have a car charger handy for emergency situations (that is, if you own a car).
The DC-4 charger is just a basic car cigarette charger. Plug it in and that's it! Juice it up for about 30 minutes until you can get home for a full charger. It has a green led indicator at the cigarette charger end letting you know it is charging your phone with electricity. Leave it in your car under a hot summer sun? No problem, and the plastic won't come apart exposing the inside wiring like some of the cheaper version. This is the Nokia factory model, and I definitely recommend N82 users to invest in one. Forget about the spare battery- it is a cell phone not a digital camera. You have to remove the back cover to switch battery, turn on, wait for reception, and perhaps enter your phone security code.... too much hassle, just get a cigarette charger instead.
